Lab MGM helped build a mobile job fair portal that pairs Brawijaya graduates with employers through a soft skills assessment.

When the COVID-19 pandemic forced Indonesia's offline job fairs to shut down, unemployment among young graduates climbed sharply, and Universitas Brawijaya's computer science faculty set out to build a digital alternative.
The result was Sarjana Sakti, short for Akses Cari Kerja Sarjana Terintegrasi, a mobile job fair portal that lets fresh graduates complete a soft skills assessment and get matched with employers without submitting a formal application. The app was launched on January 8, 2022, alongside Universitas Brawijaya's 59th anniversary, and its creator, Dr. Eng. Herman Tolle, was at the time FILKOM's Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs. The launch was funded through a Kedaireka matching fund program run by Indonesia's Directorate General of Higher Education, which paired FILKOM lecturers with industry partners on several projects that year.
Sarjana Sakti's development is credited explicitly in a paper published in Universitas Brawijaya's Jurnal Teknologi Informasi dan Ilmu Komputer, which states that the Media, Game and Mobile Technology (MGM) Laboratory at FILKOM collaborated directly with PT Indogetjob International Solution to build the platform. PT Indogetjob's chief executive, Iwan Nazarudin, took part in the launch event as the industry collaborator, describing the assessment system as a way to surface the leadership and teamwork qualities that employers look for when hiring. The paper also describes how researchers used a Human-Centered Design approach, testing the interface with real users across several iterations before release, and reported strong usability and user experience scores from that testing.

Graduates who complete the assessment are recommended to local, regional, national, and even international companies, in principle opening doors that would otherwise require a formal application process. The platform remains reachable at sarjanasakti.com. For Lab MGM, Sarjana Sakti stands as one of its clearer examples of a named, direct partnership with an outside company, built around a concrete shared product rather than a single event or a one time visit.
